WHAT IS UNDERLAY?

Underlay is a layer that goes between your flooring and the concrete. It forms a base for whichever flooring you choose to have in your home. Just because you cannot see something doesn't mean it is not vitally important to how something feels and wears.

Underlayment is a crucial step in flooring installation because it provides a protective layer between subflooring and the finished materials. It is the essential element to any floor's longevity: hardwood, bamboo, engineered wood, laminate, vinyl and tile.

Sound Reduction or Dampens Noise

Underlayment allows to block sound from transferring from room to room. An underlayment built with recycled fibers absorbs sound and keeps it from traveling to other rooms. Makes click-together floating floors sound solid underfoot.

Moisture Protection - Blocking Harmful Damage To Your Floor
